Simoonga guest house l is a unique location near the beautiful town of Livingstone and the famous Victoria Falls. At the property you will stay in a traditional, simple bungalow, with a single or double bed. We have a shared bathroom and kitchen, campfire area and garden for you to use during your stay. What makes the property unique is that it is also home to a school. The school provides free education to kids in need. During your stay you're free to do some volunteering if you like, or just interact with the kids. We can also help you organize different activities, like visiting the Victoria Falls, going on a safari, going on an island tour or visiting the traditional Simoonga Village. We would love to welcome you to our beautiful school!
Hello! My name is Edwin. In 2013 I started the school to help the children in my village. I build a small structure, which has now grown to be the Thandizani Trust School, and gives education to almost 300 children. In my free time I like to go to the river, go fishing and play with the kids. I've been married for almost eleven years and have four children that live with me on the property.
The property is close to Zambia's main tourist attractions and tourist capital, Livingstone. The National Park Mosi-oa-Tunya is 21 kilometers away. Here you can spot great wildlife, including the rare white rhino. The entrance of the Victoria Falls, the largest waterfall in the world, is 26 km away. The property is located in the traditional village of Simoonga. Here you can enjoy the friendliness of locals or explore the local market. The Zambezi River is within walkable distance. Here you will have great views of the area.
