EXCELLENT customer service!!!
Allan at the reception desk (& other 2 ladies) was fantastic! Went out of his way to help us with our departure, drive to the airport (including late check out) & even wanted to surprise us with a goodbye dinner since we had to leave Africa unexpectedly back to LA. He’s a tremendous asset to the company. Our cleaning lady, Sylvie (or Sylvia) was very helpful & efficient too.
Spacious bathroom & garden outside the room.

Very peaceful. Staff were wonderful and very flexible. We arrived by bus from Lusaka at about 10pm. I had prearranged dinner and when we arrived, a table was set for us and we were served some delicious hot food.
The lodge arranged a tour of the national park and a sunset cruise on the Zambezi.
They have fast wifi and solar backup for when the electricity goes out.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Location is unbeatbale. Room was great except the coffee / milk and toilet paper wasn't restocked and I had to ask.

The Livingstone museum should not be missed - about so much more than David Livingstone (although it has a fascinating archive of his original letters which you can pull out at read).
The Curio market has a good range of souvenirs, big and small, and I did not find the stallholders too pushy. Their prices seemed very fair.
I had excellent coffee at Cafe au Lait!
All these were within less than 10 minutes walk on the main street. As a single female traveller I didn't feel unsafe in any way during the day - I didn't go out after dark, but hotels will always organise taxis if you are unsure, and most attractions collect you from your hotel or lodge.
I had visited the Falls from the other side, so didn't do this again. It isn't a particularly attractive town in itself, but it was an interesting 2 night stay.

Livingstone town is a bit raw, but not unsafe.
Livingstone town is a bit raw, but not unsafe. The classic components - Victoria Falls (you really do not need a guide just call a local taxi - avoid a guy called Bison! The park with Rhino tour, sunset tour - we used the African Queen/Princess and it was excellent. More than adequate snacks and unlimited drinks. The crew were exceptional. We ate at our hotel - the Victoria Falls Waterfront as it was so good and great value. Didn’t need to consider anywhere else. Amazing pizzas.

Friendly and safe town. Easy to get around.
Friendly and safe town. Easy to get around. Avoid being ripped off by taxi drivers. The falls are a sight to behold, it was majestic. Zambesi cruise is a to do activity, have dinner in one of the restaurants afterwards. Instead of buying at the town market, take a trip to Mukuni village for affordable souvenirs to take home.

Lovely quaint little town, friendly people and clean.
Lovely quaint little town, friendly people and clean. Mosquitoes weren't too much of an issue. We walked the whole length of the town in one day, enjoying the sights and sounds. Very USD focused though, so plan accordingly.

We booked a tour to Livingstone Island and Devil's Pool...
We booked a tour to Livingstone Island and Devil's Pool through LIFE ON THE EDGE. It was an awesome experience. Highlight of our trip. We paid $120 USD per person. Other tours charge more on viator and get your guide, but this is the only company that runs these tours so do not overpay by going through a middle man. Book directly. We felt safe the entire time. Well worth the money!
What a great stay. We unfortunately only had two nights here, but were immediately impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the Muke Village residents. Alex was an incredibly friendly, kind and ambitious host who gave us an insight into Zambian life. There is a school next to the guest house and we were even allowed to attend lessons and spend time with the children. We will definitely return - probably even as volunteers - as we felt very comfortable and gained an authentic insight into Zambian culture.
A real adventure! The Lodge is situated far away from the city, right at the shore of the Sambesi River. Extremely quiet and peaceful at night with a million stars above. But be careful: The hippos come out of the river at night and you better stay inside of your chalet. We were instructed that this would happen and at night they accompanied us from dinner to our chalets. Super friendly staff organized a tour to the Victoria falls and through the city of Livingstone.
Best Hostel experience in Africa so far. I highly recommend this place to stay in Livingstone. The location couldnt be better. There is a supermarket just on the opposite side of the main road. The staff organize and help you book activities and day trips on the area. There was such a good vibe at the pool too, where everybody hangs out. If I come back one day, I will definitely stay here again.
Excellent staff in this lovely hotel. I had an upgraded room, very spacious with huge bed! Good shower, kettle, tea, and TV with english speaking and sports channels.
Right next to crafts market and in town centre. They also have complimentary airport shuttle and 10% discount on food in their restaurant (European and Indian dishes). Swimming pool and complimentary breakfast.
Very clean, comfortable rooms. Staff are super helpful and lovely. Breakfast was delicious! Restaurants within walking distance. Quiet location.
Staying here was similar to a home stay, since all bungalows were on a compound with her family. So you're immersed in the Zambian culture ❤️
