The Magic Garden and establishment is an intuitive extension and expression of my world and surroundings. My Art is the flow of imagination, the process of arranging creations and colour in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions. It encompasses a diverse range of expression, including music, sculpture and painting created and organized in a way to soothe the soul… Also available on request - Entertainment for families and groups in the form of.. drumming.. jewelry making.. balancing stones.. charcoal drawings and painting.

We are comfortable and relaxed where anything and everyone is accepted. The space is vibrant and alive with movement and music. Most.. if not all of our guests share the same in art and lifestyle. From the moment you enter The Magic Garden, you experience a unique sense of energy, tranquility and a warm feeling that you belong. Situated 5 hours drive from Cape Town and 5 hours drive to Upington, it is a wonderful weekend getaway or stay over.

The Magic Garden and establishment is an intuitive extension and expression of my world and surroundings. My Art is the flow of imagination, the process of arranging creations and colour and movement. This landscape is periodically plagued by drought and scorching sunshine yet it has been astonishingly blessed with some of the most dramatic displays of natural beauty. Nowhere is this more visible than in Namaqualand, one of the six floral kingdoms of the world. In spring, the plains burst into flower creating a breathtaking carpet of brilliant colour. The Akkerdam Nature reserve consist mostly of the Hantam Mountain. You can explore the rustic area by one of the various hiking trails that the area offers. The Kareeboom route was designed with senior citizens in mind. The 2km hiking trail takes you along the Hantam Mountain and takes about a hour to complete. The Sterboom route takes you along the easterly side of the Hantam Mountain and up to the Plato. This route takes approximately 6 to 7 hours to complete. For the avid bird watchers the Kareedam serves as an oases for the migrating birds. Birdwatchers can expect up to 65 different bird species at this reserve.
