Chisomo Safari Camp (which means “blessings”) is a shady river retreat offering luxury, tranquility and a close to nature experience with its 22 tents on stilts overlooking the Makhutsi River. Most of our rangers and trackers are Shangaan and bring to the game experience the richness of their culture and vast knowledge of nature. With their natural tracking abilities and Karongwe`s modern bush telegraph, our rangers will go out of their way to bring you as close to the Magnificent Seven (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino, cheetah and African wild dog) as they possibly can. Breakfasts and lunches are normally in our thatched dining area overlooking the picturesque views of the bush, whilst also indulging in refreshments from the abstract stylish bar, that separates the dining area from the flowing lounge with an array of ways to relax. Some nights you`ll enjoy sumptuous traditional African dishes in the thatched dining area, while other nights dinner will be served outdoors in the Boma – or by candlelight next to the pool or even at a unique bush dinner site, created especially for Chisomo guests.
