Anchors Aweigh has its own reservoir with a reliable water supply (please bring water bottle) 24 hour security with patrols at night and individual access control for guests (need 48 hours notice to activate). Please bring own beach towel, fresh linen is supplied. We are unfortunately not pet friendly. We have Prepaid Electricity, if you run low, please top up.

Hibberdene is conveniently located on the KZN South Coast, with most of the main attractions, just a few hours drive up or down the Coast; i.e. Shelly Beach Mall, Margate, Oribi Gorge, Wild Coast Sun and Southbroom Croc world, to the South, or if you prefer going North to uShaka Marine World, The famous Galleria Mall (The Place to Play), situated on the sapphire coastline of Amanzimtoti, Durban, King Shaka International Airport, and Umhlanga, to mention but a few. No car or transport, no problem; There is a small shop on premises, visit our "Plaas Kombuis" for your everyday needs or a delicious home cooked meal. There are also various reliable shuttles operating between Anchors and major towns. Or simply enjoy a picnic or braai down at the river. Boats can be launched on the river bordering the property at the boating club and resort has its own sparkling pool. Swimming beach, shops, pubs and restaurant (The Jolly Roger), eateries, is a short walk over our iconic bridge from the resort, onto the sands of this international BLUE FLAG beach, protected by shark nets and life guards. Or walk through the resort to Mzimayi River Lodge, for sun downers on the deck overlooking the sea, watch sport on the big screen, or try your luck at the slots. Fancy quad bike rides, visit the Carousel Holiday Resort just over the road, for further outdoor and sometimes live entertainment.
