Then, just 10-30 minute walk outside of this modern landscape, you'll see a merry scene of local shops and restaurants who are busy all day, because generations of local people have lived here around the oldest and largest trading port of Phu Quoc. Fresh fish come on shore twice everyday at ~6am and 4pm. Life on an island is probably always pricier than on the mainland, but everything is still pretty low priced here in south Phu Quoc.
