Since we are located in a more secluded area, we prepare all our meals throughout the day using fresh local ingredients. One of the highlights of Moc Home is our FAMILY DINNER. All guests come together to share a meal, exchanging stories and experiences while enjoying traditional local dishes. It’s a perfect opportunity to meet fellow travelers and make new friends. Our staff consists of local ethnic minorities—Red Dao or Black H'mong—who live in the northern highlands of Vietnam. They are warm, welcoming, and dedicated to ensuring that your stay is a memorable one. We also sometimes host volunteers from other parts of Vietnam or even from other countries, bringing a unique cultural blend to our homestay. Architecturally, Moc Home is a traditional Vietnamese stilt house, with its structure elevated on wooden stilts several meters above the ground. These homes were historically built to withstand the floods common during Vietnam’s wet season, especially in rural areas. Staying in this traditional stilt house allows you to not only enjoy modern comfort but also immerse yourself in a living piece of history. Hello and warm greetings! My name is Thao, but many of my friends and guests call me Emma. I’m the owner of Mộc Home Sapa, a place that was born from my love of travel and meeting new people. Before opening this homestay, I worked at another one far from Sapa, where I met travelers from all over the world. These connections inspired me to create my own space where guests can experience the beauty of northern Vietnam in a peaceful, welcoming environment. I’ve always loved reading, painting, and photography—especially capturing the stunning landscapes around us. You’ll find a small collection of English books at Mộc Home that you’re welcome to borrow during your stay. My sister will be here to assist you, and I’ll visit from time to time to make sure everything runs smoothly and that you feel right at home. We recommend booking a taxi through us to drop you just 15 meters from the homestay, as local taxis may drop you off up to 1 km away, leaving you with a tiring walk. Upon arrival, the beauty of the surrounding rice terraces and mountains will make the journey worthwhile. Mộc Home offers a perfect mix of comfort and village life, providing an ideal setting for relaxation or exploration. Local Attractions: Ancient Stone Beach (Bãi Đá Cổ): Discover ancient carvings on stone, giving a glimpse into the region's history.
