Neighbourhood information

Oakhurst and the nearby town of Mariposa were both settled during the Gold Rush and delight guests with their Wild West roots, diverse dining options, and unique attractions, like a mineralogy museum, a steam train ride, and historical villages. In this area, it’s easy to do tons of outdoor activities like skiing, tubing, water sports, sky diving, canoeing, horseback riding, climbing, and off-road excursions. Yosemite is world-renowned for its incredible natural beauty. Within its roughly 1,200 square miles, you’ll find deep valleys, picturesque meadows, giant sequoias, countless waterfalls, expansive wilderness, and miles of scenic hiking trails.
