Accommodations For A Modern Generation Guests of The Bungalows enjoy the same level of hospitality as found at all Homestead Modern’s properties in the High Desert. With simple design changes and integration of technology, we offer our guests a low touch experience, with high guest service. We utilize a smart lock for each Bungalow allowing a self check-in process and there is no front desk, though our local support team is available from 9am-9pm daily. The Bungalows offer generous communal outdoor space, propane BBQ grills, a fire-pit overlooking one of the many vortices on campus as well as hiking trails and access to the Retreat Center pool, hot tub and wellness activities. Each room, while connected in one of three buildings, has its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, patio and parking space. The Bungalows are 18 plus only, dog friendly and do not have TVs. 14 serene rooms, all with private patios and endless views of the stunning surrounding landscape. The Bungalows have all of the conveniences of modern technology: high-speed Internet, whisper-quiet heating and air conditioning, on-demand hot water heaters; and luxurious comfort. Tuft & Needle “Mint” mattresses are dressed with Parachute linens and bath areas proudly offer Malin & Goetz body products and House of Hiatus bathrobes. Each bungalow contains a full kitchen [kitchenettes in double rooms] with bakeware, cookware, utensils, silverware & local ceramics with both indoor and outdoor dining spaces.

The Retreat Center is not a traditional resort; full of architectural gems, it is a homespun campus where people come from all over the world searching for enlightenment. Your help in respecting the quiet, meditational environment of this campus while you are visiting is appreciated. There are always a variety of classes, workshops and activities hosted by our partners at The Joshua Tree Retreat Center. From hikes, to yoga to plant medicine and crystals, there is something going on almost everyday. The schedule and fees change regularly. Please check their website for the most updated information: Joshua Tree Retreat Center The Retreat Center has a large cold and hot pool. Please be aware there is limited shade and seating by the pool and that Homestead Modern has not renovated this portion of the Retreat Center. Pool hours are from 8AM-9PM and there is a bathroom and outdoor shower adjacent. The hot pool is maintained at a temperature of 100-104 degrees. No music or shouting is allowed in the pool area. Swimsuits must be worn at all times. The Homestead Modern team is able to assist in the booking of tours, massages and other activities if you provide them with advance notice of your interest after booking your bungalow.
