You'll love the convenience of this location. Roads are paved all the way up to the property. Just outside of the entrance are marinas and lakefront restaurants on Lake Chatuge. You'll find two fun places close by, The Sandbar and The Marina Station, both have good food and live music. Cross the road to rent your pontoon at one of the marinas, or enjoy an event at the Georgia Fairgrounds less than two miles away. Spend the day hiking and then take in a bottle of wine at one of the nearby vineyards or wineries. You won't have to go far for groceries with Ingles just down the street. Antique shopping and boutiques are also abundant. This mountain property is SO convenient to downtown Hiawassee, Hayesville, Blairsville, Bell Tower, Blue Ridge, and Helen. We love the restaurants (try Brothers for steak and the Sundance and Mary's for a great breakfast!) catching family music downtown on the weekends or a concert or event two miles away at the Georgia fairgrounds. Golf is around the corner on public courses. Don't feel like going that far? Have a pizza delivered or take in dinner at one of many restaurants from BBQ (of course) to fine dining. Murphy is an adorable town with so much to do. Head to flea markets in Blairsville. Other areas of interest include Chattahoochee National Forest, Tallulah Gorge State Park, Brasstown Bald Mountain, Anna Ruby Falls, Lake Rabun, and the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. No matter where your day takes you, heading back up Ramey mountain will be a highlight of your visit.
