Company information

Chris and Tim recently moved into this, their dream home, from Maine in July 2024. They opened up their guest cottage to visitors as part of their love for hospitality and they have absolutely loved meeting all the new people they've hosted since opening the cottage for rent.

Property information

🏡 The cottage enjoys a private and secure entrance occupying the lower level of a two story luxury home that is the entire upstairs (not accessible). There is a renovated bathroom with a two person shower and a kitchenette for your private use in the cottage. 🛌 The bedroom is spacious with a queen-size bed and includes a full-sized pullout sitting sofa. Unit amenities include a Smart TV, full sized fridge, microwave, and fire pit (when fires are allowed). 🌄 Breathtaking Views: Wake up to stunning vistas every morning. The outdoor fire pit is the perfect spot to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a family BBQ, all while soaking in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. 🚗 Convenient Location: Just a stone's throw away from Stanislaus National Forest, Sierra Haus is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Explore many different hiking trails from your front door, swim in crystal-clear rivers and waterfalls right up the road, or experience the thrill of skiing at Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort in Stanislaus National Forest. Yosemite National Park is also within easy reach, promising unforgettable family excursions. 🔥 Cozy Evenings: After a day of adventures, gather around the oversized fire-ring nestled under the tranquil tree canopy. Share stories, toast marshmallows, and experience the magic of the Sierra mountains firsthand. 🚗 Ample Parking: Sierra House offers convenient and ample parking (the garage is not provided, sorry). Dogwood lake is available seasonally for your use during your stay and, if you have a boat you can visit Pinecrest Lake which is public and allows large power boats.

Neighbourhood information

The cottage is in a terrific location in the foothills of the Sierra Mountain range. It is just a stone's throw away from Stanislaus National Forest and an hours drive from Yosemite! In the winter you can downhill ski at Dodge Ridge Mountain (20 min drive) or visit some of the great winter parks in Stanislaus forest and in summer there are terrific parks right out of our front door and we belong to Dogwood Lake, a nearby private swim and kayak lake that you'll be able to visit (5 min drive).
