Mountain chic one story home has bright, cozy bedroom, private bath & morning room/lounge with coffee/tea and snack bar...all at PRIVATE end of house. Enjoy patio with sunrise coffee, watch local wildlife, unwind from Yosemite hiking in stargazing recliners. 4:20 friendly OUTSIDE but inside is a pet (allergies)/fragrance and smoke-free environment to guarantee a quality experience for all guests. Queen bed and large screen Apple TV fully loaded...HBO, Netflix, etc Our single story, mountain home is surrounded by oak trees and located in the Sierra foothills among the wildlife (deer everywhere - drive carefully at dusk!), granite boulders, and rolling hills. Two minutes off the Yosemite Highway (41) and 33 miles from the Yosemite Park South Entrance gate, Oak Retreat offers the weary traveler a Zen experience. Your room and bath are at a private end of the house which allows you to feel like you are in a world of your own. We welcome you to join us by the fireside on cold winter nights and sip your hot chocolate or share a glass of wine. Summer offers multiple outdoor relaxation spots scattered along the rock paths and on the back porch and deck. Escape and renew!
As SuperHosts, we live onsite and strive to always be there to make each guest feel welcome. We want to make this as easy and comfortable as we can, so we make ourselves available in person and/or by text. Whether you are going to or coming from Yosemite, we want you to feel like you are coming home! We are a fun-loving teacher couple that enjoy living here with Yosemite as their back yard. We love to travel and meet new people, so we look forward to meeting you! During our honeymoon, we stayed at B&Bs and Agriturismos throughout Sicily, and experienced connecting with the local scene through our hosts; we can do the same for you! In addition to Yosemite National Park, there are a myriad of places we love to visit around here; Bass Lake, Giant Sequoias, Crystal Cave, Sierra Vista Scenic Byway and the Forestiere Underground Gardens. Oak Retreat is located north of Fresno off the Yosemite Highway (41), in Yosemite Lakes Park, halfway to the Park's South Gate. Here in YLP we have our own Clubhouse with two excellent restaurants; The Blue Heron and Yosemite Grill, both less than two miles away. We also have a Supermarket, Gas Station, Liquor Store and Hardware/Dollar Store, all within a mile of the property. Feeling Lucky? Chukchansi Casino and Resort is only 7 miles north of us on the way to Yosemite on Highway 41, and also has the CHEAPEST GAS in the entire County!
