Built in 1869 by Captain Mitchell Reed, (master of the world's largest wooden sailing ship-until it sank), the Harbor House Inn is in the heart of picturesque Boothbay Harbor. Just a 2 minute walk down the hill puts you at the docks, fine restaurants, artisan shops and the famous footbridge that crosses the inner harbor. Each of the 6 guest rooms have private baths and are uniquely and tastefully decorated. Some rooms have views of the bay or overlook the Town and harbor where lobster boats rest at anchor. Guests also have full use of the sitting room with its cozy fireplace. The dinning room opens to the wrap-around veranda which overlooks the bay where all vessels entering and leaving the harbor pass by. Soak up the morning sun over breakfast, relax to the sound of fog horns, and enjoy 24 hour coffee/tea and tome baked items put out each afternoon after your day of activity. then watch spectacular sunsets.

The Harbor House Inn, built by Captain Reed is located on the top of Mckown Hill in the heart of Boothbay Harbor overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Quiet, yet convenient to the ambiance of the Town. Our quaint Inn has 6 spacious guest rooms.
