The condo is perfectly located just up the hill from the Townsend greenway and a short drive away from numerous hikes in the mountains, fun in Pigeon Forge, or a trip to the many attractions in Gatlinburg. The condo is located in Townsend, a quaint town in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Nearby you can float the Little Pigeon River in the summer (River Rats 3.3mi), or visit the local favorite drive-in Burger Master (3.3 mi) for a post-hike treat. There is a nearby market (.7mi), or you can take the pedestrian walking path and bike or walk to the delicious Apple Valley Mountain Village & Café (1.1mi), just 5 minutes down the road. Townsend is the doorway to the beautiful Smoky Mountains where numerous hikes, fun swimming holes, or scenic picnic spots await you. Popular spots include the Sinks (10 mi) for swimming or Cades Cove (17mi) for beautiful scenic views from your car and a picnic area too. Hiking options are numerous, and we suggest doing a little research, but a few well-loved choices include The Chimney tops, Laurel Falls, Abram Falls, and Alum Cave.
