If you'd rather stay in the immediate area, you may take a stroll along the river or head down the street to a charming gastro-tavern and restaurant. ***If you choose to drive or rent a car, there is typically plenty of free street parking directly in front of the building and around the area. There is a small section of permitted parking so be sure to check the signage. There is also a pull-out queen sofa bed, a full kitchen, an in-unit washer, and a dryer. We provide linen for the pull-out sofa couch upon request subject to a fee. *If extra sleeping spaces are used without authorization or extra linen we provide, you will be charged a fee for deep cleaning for safety and cleanliness reasons. There are two workspaces. 1 in the common area which includes a height adjustable desk that can also double as a dining table. The second is in the second bedroom which is a leaf folding table. There are no outdoor hang-out areas but there is a beautiful boathouse across the street where you can picnic and enjoy the lake view. You will have the entire rental unit to yourself. Please feel free to use the in-unit washer and dryer, full kitchen amenities, TV, and games. We just asked that you take care of the items as if they are your own. Please note that there is a full flight of stairs to get into and out of the building. The back door is not to be used unless of a true emergency. This neighborhood offers an urban-suburban mixed vibe with plenty of local restaurants, bars, parks, cafes, and more to enjoy. It lies next door to iconic landmarks and sightseeing like the Willis tower, Lake Michigan, 31st street beach, the loop etc. The CTA is probably the most convenient and affordable way to get around the city. Great if you are hopping around site seeing. And the Orange line is under a 10-minute walk away! You can also find Divvy bikes nearby, about an 8-minute walk away. Please keep in mind this is a residential area, and there are no parties allowed. We ask that noise is kept to a minimum after 10 pm for the respect of our neighbors.
