Since then we have migrated to Northern RI for our primary residence but always have a soft spot for Narragansett and Newport :). Smithfield is a suburb of Providence. It is 15 miles (20-25 mins) outside of the city. It is a safe and quiet town that is also home to Bryant University (less than 1 mile away). Dining Options: Smithfield has great restaurants for both in person dining and delivery or pick up. Our favorites are Blackies, Laura's Bar and Grille, Cook and Dagger, Tavolo Wine Bar and Tuscan Gille, Sienna and Condessa Restaurante Mexicano. Recreation: Smithfield has many great walking trails located within minutes from the house. There is a brand new dog park located less than 1 mile from the property. Guests can register their dog prior to arrival to use the park. Smithfield also has a lovely park called Deerfield Park that is great for walking.
