About the property (Please READ!): Hostel SoHa is two 5,000 square foot buildings on 7 acres of private land in the process of being renovated into the first traveler's hostel in west Michigan. This summer we are welcoming young adult travelers, students, backpackers, van-lifers, and anyone in search of a unique and affordable space to stay to the property for overnight parking, camping, and fun events. There is NO indoor sleeping accommodation at this time; this is for individuals looking to camp with access to indoor common spaces. You can book an adventurous stay in one of our outdoor sleeping hammocks BYO sleeping bag and pillow, pitch your own tent, or bring your camping rig of choice. LOCATION We are located directly off M-43 and only a 5 minute drive to the beach; downtown South Haven; and Walmart, Aldi, and Meijer. We are also a 5 minute drive from the Kal-Haven trailhead and a 15 minute drive to the Bangor train station. If needed, rides can be arranged to the property for travelers without a vehicle. AGE RESTRICTION This fun and central location is best suited for adults ages 18-35, but we welcome anyone over 16 looking for this social experience. This property is not suitable for families or individuals looking for a quiet or private getaway. AMENITIES There are shared indoor bathrooms (showers not open yet) and an indoor common area with tables and seating, a phone charging station, pool and ping pong tables, lockers for valuables (BYO lock), and a fridge. There is a lit outdoor picnic and bonfire social space with yard games. There is WiFi and an onsite store COMING SOON. Just a free spirited American attempting to pull off something crazy--opening the first traveler's hostel in west Michigan. It's been nothing but an uphill battle but hosting guests from all over makes it totally worth it. When I'm not working on building my business I'm at the beach, sailing, doing random hands-on projects, working odd jobs, hanging out with friends, and researching the next travel destination for my shoestring budget.
