Company info

We purchased our Inn as a residence in 1998 and contributed much blood, sweat and tears to fulfill a dream of running our own business. Mark's had the vision for the property; with the help of professionals, we've worked very hard to restore the homestead and provide a comfortable place for our guests to enjoy a peaceful, country respite from the struggles of life. We met as college sweethearts in Hesston, Kansas, where Brenda studied Business Management and Mark studied Aviation. Mark has flown commercially for many years, both with the airlines and corporate. He enjoys restoring vintage Ford Mustangs and pick-up trucks, hiking, bicycling, reading and teaching scripture. Brenda loves cooking, gardening, preserving, canning and freezing fruits, vegetables and berries grown on-premise for hearty breakfasts! She also enjoys hiking, bicycling and music--singing and playing piano, flute and guitar. We, the Millers, help serve the community through the local church. We have two sons and daughters-in-law, with whom we enjoy spending time! We hope you'll feel a part of our family while you're here as you take a step back in time and enjoy the serenity of our 18th-century farmhouse.

Property info

Built by early German Mennonite settlers, this beautifully restored 18th-century sandstone farmhouse is situated on seven acres amid farmland and countryside. Enjoy a leisurely walk by our flower and water gardens or nearby nature trail: a round of golf at the local course; a day of shopping at the numerous outlet centers and antique malls just minutes away; or a tour of area cultural and historical sites/attractions. Whatever brings you to Lancaster County, you can be certain your stay with us will be restful and accommodating . . . each room boasts random-width plank floors, lofty windowsills, local handcrafted period-authentic furniture, private bathrooms, and comfortable sleeping and sitting areas, centrally heated and cooled. In the morning, let us serve you a full country breakfast featuring premise-grown fruits/juices, home-made pastries and jams, and a hot entree in the homestead's original summer kitchen, complete with open-hearth fireplace, brick floor, and exposed ceiling beams.

Neighborhood info

We are located in northern Lancaster County, away from the touristy traffic, amid some beautiful farmland and partially hilly, wooded areas. Enjoy a leisurely walk by our flower and water gardens. A most peaceful and serene location!
