Hello, we're Lisa and Shane, your hosts. We've lived at this property for 17 years, but just a few years ago opened as a Bed & Breakfast. The house has approximately 5,400 square feet of space, so as empty nesters that left a large amount of unused space for just the two of us. We really enjoy living here and can't imagine being anywhere else. We know many other people enjoy visiting this area to see Thousand Springs State Park, Ritter Island and Blue Heart Springs, so we decided to remodel to accommodate Lisa's idea of turning our house into a Bed & Breakfast. We started the remodel nearly 2 years before we opened. At first we only had one room open and watercraft rentals only on weekends as Shane was still operating his other business during this transition. We continued remodeling room by room and were able to have a total of 3 rooms open within the next year. That is when Shane retired from his hoof trimming business and was able to open watercraft rentals every day through our second summer. We had a tremendous response to our watercraft rentals and rooms, so we doubled our number of Sea-Doo PWC's to 4 instead of 2 and increased our number of kayaks as well. Our third summer saw double the demand for watercraft rentals from the previous season and found rooms full all summer too. We are currently remodeling one more room and hope to have it available before summer this year. once we complete this one that will bring the final total to 4 rooms. It's important to us that our guests enjoy the house, it's location and all the natural beauty and activities the area has to offer. We do our best to make sure you enjoy your stay and want to come back. Together we handle all the day to day operations. Shane handles watercraft rentals, remodeling, bookkeeping, website and property maintenance. Lisa handles housekeeping, painting, room design and decoration and stocking. We both pitch in handle breakfast and guest communications. We hope to see you soon!

1,000 Springs Riverhouse is the perfect stay and play destination! We are located along the Highway 30 Scenic Byway on the river across from Ritter Island and Thousand Springs State Park with it's beautiful waterfalls and variety of wildlife. We offer rooms with breathtaking views, kayak rentals, stand-up paddle board rentals and Sea-Doo personal watercraft rentals! Every room is different and accommodates either 2, 3 or 4 guests!
