The house is a one -story house with 3 bedrooms, a living room adjoining a court yard which serves as a dining place, a kitchen and 2 bath rooms. The spacious terrace at the 1st floor offers a lovely view over¬looking the well cared banana farms, a mix of trees which attracts monkeys, insects and a variety of birds flocking from the National parks . The terrace allows you to enjoy the beautiful sunrise every morning. It is a lovely place to be at any time of day as you read your books, chat with friends, watch the daily treks of tourists being guided through the banana farms and other livelihood activities of the people in Mto wa Mbu or simply mediating. Hondohondo house is co-hosted by people. Pernille Bertelsen lives in Denmark. She has a life-long affinity to Mto wa Mbu drawn from her past life as an ex¬patriate, working for the UN International Labour Organisation (ILO) to support the improvement of irrigation and flood control schemes since 1989. During the last 35 years, Pernille has established a strong bond with Tanzania, in particular to Mto wa Mbu with a family and friendship network, hence a reason for her to invest into a this holiday cottage. She offers a great network of friends and colleagues both in Denmark and elsewhere in the world to use Hondohond when traveling to Tanzania. Japhet Makongo is family partner in the business. He lives in Dar es Salaam Tanzania but he had previously spent over 20 years of his professional life in the area. He has a good connection to the local and international Development network which adds value to the business marketing spaces.

Hondo Hondo house is located in Mto wa Mbu at the foot of the Great Rift Wall, approximately 120 km from Arusha City towards Tarangire and Manyara National Parks and about 60 km towards the famous Ngoron¬goro Crater. Likewise, this location offers connectivity to other touristic attraction other than the usual wildlife expeditions. These include the Community Tourism which offers diverse cultural experiences of the inhabitants in the banana plantations and the attractive landscape of the Rift Valley. The house is located approximately 1.5 km away from the town center of Mto wa Mbu and more less adjacent to the entry gate of Manyara National Park.
