We stayed at this hotel as a group of six friends, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The staff was the best we've ever encountered while traveling – their helpfulness and friendliness were truly exceptional. Neema and Miriam became our good friends, taking care of our well-being throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and beautiful, and the cocktails and food were the best in town. This place is an absolute paradise. The immediate surrounding area however is very poor. That didn't seem to bother the inhabitants, since I have never seen so many smiling faces in my life.
I have to mention the staff at the hotel, which was more that super friendly. They went out of their way to make sure that me and my wife had the best possible experience and if I ever find myself in this part of the woods, I will most definitely try to secure room there again.
Zanzibar is a diamond in the rough, waiting to be discovered, much like Thailand 40 years ago. Hurry up and visit before mass tourism with hipster coffee shops and international fast food franchisees start popping up.

Nungwi house has these two amazing ladies . very helpful when we couldn't get hold of our driver ,one ade arrangements and found us another driver to take us to the ferry station she even negotiated the price because our Swahili was not good.very humble and always happy when they were preparing breakfast.

Nungwi is truly a picturesque destination and one of Zanzibar's most popular spots for good reason. The turquoise waters are breathtaking, the white sandy beaches are pristine, and the sunsets are absolutely magical. The tide in this area doesn’t fluctuate as much as in other parts of Zanzibar, which means the beach is swimmable throughout the day – a big plus for those who love to spend time in the water.
The vibe in Nungwi is vibrant and lively, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and activities to keep you entertained. Snorkeling, diving, and boat trips to nearby coral reefs are must-dos for anyone visiting. The marine life is stunning, and the water visibility is incredible.
That said, Nungwi’s popularity comes with its challenges. The beach can get quite crowded, especially during peak times, and the presence of street vendors and masseuses is something to be mindful of. While some may enjoy the local interaction, others might find the constant approaches a bit overwhelming.

Nungwi beach is superb.
Nungwi beach is superb. Beautiful white sandy beaches and a warm ocean. The beach on the Northeast side of Nungwi is not tidal allowing swimming throughout the day. Great restaurants on the beach front.

What's not to like. A lovely introduction by Iman which was a first in Zanzibar. A perfect spot right on the beach, breakfast overlooking the ocean. .. perfect. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. Plenty of loungers cushions and parasols for shade.
An added bonus was an off licence just round the corner to purchase a cold beer 🍺 whilst
Watching the evening sunset. Lots of restaurants a stone's throw away if you don't eat in the hotel. Although we ate elsewhere the food in the hotel looked yummy....
From the moment I arrived, I immediately felt like home. We enjoyed a really cute & cozy garden, breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality of the staff made me feel even more like I'm home. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. And the location is absolutely unbeatable! The beach is literally around the corner - okay, maybe 5 steps away hihi.

Great architecture, great location, super clean. Breakfast was very delicious and satisfying ( that pancakeee :), I am a serious coffee addict and they have various coffee selection. Before coming to Zanzibar, I had some question on my mind about the food, but the hotel's food is really successful. The hotel has 2 chefs and they do great job. And the hotel is very close to the most famous nungwi beach. We will definitely come again.

The cook is so professional, prompt and the food she prepared exceeded all my expectations. Thanks a lot to the staff for making my stay in Zanzibar just perfect.
Everything was amazing, room was huge, a few minutes walk to a beautiful beach, restaurant very stylish with sand on the floor. I will only stay in this hotel in Zanzibar in the future.
