This includes sourcing and acquiring development opportunities, preparing feasibility and business case strategies, and managing the delivery of the completed development. Emre’s experience covers brown-field and green-field projects in the residential and commercial sectors. Emre transitioned into development in 2002, when he partnered with the practice. Prior to working in development, I served as Managing Director of an early stage internet venture capital firm in London, UK. Prior to that I held a position as Partner and Managing Director at the Media Group in Turkey where I managed operations of broadcast media stations. My early experience includes work at L’Oreal Cosmetics in Paris, France, and at the Coca- Cola Bottling Operations in Istanbul, Turkey, I am a native of Turkey and earned my Master of International Management, from Thunderbird, American Graduate School of Management, and BA in International Business from Illinois Wesleyan University. i enjoy cooking and travelling.

Igneada is home to one of the rare floodplain forests in the world. The floodplain forest and the wildlife are being protected by the GEF2 project funded by the World Bank for the last eight years. Declared a national park in 2007, the forest is a very rare natural area with the plant types and animal species that it has. It is known by the names Lake Mert, Lake Saka and Lake Erikli Floodplain Forests. The waters of the three small rivers joined by more than ten streams collect in the natural reservoirs on the beach and form natural lakes. The water that accumulates in these lakes overflows toward the land and causes a very rare floodplain forest to form. The floodplain forest houses a very rich wildlife. As well as being a home to aquatic birds, it also enables many endemic species of plants to exist. When the water levels in the floodplain forest rise in the spring, these natural reservoirs collapse and the alluvial deposits rich in nutrients are carried to the sea. These nutrients also account for the wealth of marine life in Igneada. A wide range of fish like turbot, bluefish, and horse mackerel are caught by the fishermen of Igneada and delivered to our tables.
