What a reception! What a hospitality!! Eren, the hotel manager was exceptional. When we decided to book in Takaev, we messaged them on Whatsapp. Eren replied immediately, answering all our questions, and showed us a live video of the room, gave us examples of activities and was very responsive. The most important thing about Eren is that he speaks English fluently, which made the communication with him easier and smooth (unlike the majority the hotels here). He took care of all the activities and reservations to insure providing us with a good service and avoid scammers and black market prices. He also recommended us a taxi driver called Tanar (phone number: +90 537 592 66 21) to avoid getting scammed. Anything we needed during our stay, Eren was there for us.
The room was clean, and the cleaning service was daily and on time.
When it comes to the breakfast, it was always served on time and super delicious. We felt as if we are home and part of the hotel family. The hotel has a breathtaking view, you can see all the valleys from the front and Uchisar castle from the back.
Oggy a cute man was there to help us and serve us. He is always smiling and ready to see what we want. Therefore, if you are willing to visit to Cappadocia and spend a good time without any worry, do not hesitate to reserve at Takaev Cave Hotel.

We didn't spend much time here, but easy flight from Istanbul. Convenient for the balloon rides, but not directly in the town they fly from. A preferable location if you want a little more peace and quiet, and enough choices for dining. Lovely to walk around and spectacular views from many parts.

Uchisar provides great access to all the sights of...
Uchisar provides great access to all the sights of Cappadocia. Our stay at La Casa offered the perfect mix of cave/building and was in a great location. The breakfast was excellent. The close by Janti Cafe is also excellent, highly recommend. One thing to note is that google gets a bit confused with the one way streets, but once you get the hang of navigating in Uchisar, it is very easy to get around and you can see the castle from many of the nearby hiking areas.

It worked great for us.
It worked great for us. We had a rental and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Goreme. If you don't have a car and are staying in Cappadocia for the first time, perhaps Uchisar is not the best option since it will limit your walking distance options of restaurants, shops and tour agencies, we loved it though and found it to be the perfect homebase to explore the region. It seems like some of the more exclusive hotels and restaurants are also in Uchisar so it depends on what works best for you.

Small town area next to the rock castle.
Small town area next to the rock castle. Quiet, with lots of restaurants. The top of the mountain has more shops and art galleries to see along with cafes. Once you step out of the area it is mostly desolated and filled with caves. There is lots of new construction going on in the peripheral area. We ate at the statehouse around our hotel and it was great. A bit expensive but gourmet like treatment. The open air museum is only 10 min away and the castle is right in the center of Uchisar. Slightly away from the crowd of Goreme, Uchisar was just right. The property was close to the castle which made it convenient. The pigeon valley entrance is a km on foot so makes for a great walk. Personally between Goreme and Uchisar, I preferred Uchisar as it's quieter and had more luxe options. Also the views were amazing and we spent quite a bit of time sitting in the terrace taking in the country air.

Uchisar is an incredible small town with a beautiful medieval section that is wonderfully thriving. Clean, friendly, with laid back dogs roaming the streets, and the home of Uchisar castle. Pigeon Valley has its own mystique and overall the town touches something inside of you that makes you want to stay longer.
A true gem of a hotel for your Cappadocia vacay . I loved the serenity and endless views . Roll out of bed and watch the hot air ballons rising , and if you are lucky they land on the site next to the hotel . The rooms are so comfortable and the staff are warm and friendly . We loved exploring all the breakfast spoils - a true feast for the eyes and taste buds.
The hustle and bustle of goreme is a short bus ride away and we found great restaurants around Uchisar castle - about 15 mins walk .
This place is Gold! It is the perfect balance between modern comfort and cave living. The tranquility setting of the hotel and it’s ambience was the best way to unwind after a day of exploring beautiful Cappadocia. The owner, Mr Mehmet, has put his heart into Kistar Cave and it feels like a home away from home. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is a stones throw away from restaurants, banks and tourist attractions.

I love the decoration of the room. We stayed in Orchid room for 2 nights. it's beautiful, cosy and clean. The owner and the staff are very attentive. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Uchisar is a lovely town. You can see Uchisar Castle and panoramic view of the town from the hotel. We didnt see any balloon due to the weather condition, we still had a wonderful time. Cappadocia in winter is kinda magical!
The hotel is located in a very good spot just in front of the Uchisar castle which is few mins walk way in distance. The location is so convenient that travelling to any nearest site seeing places is very close. The staff were really good and supported well during our stay, the food was good too.
I have mixed feelings about the hotel.
Uchisar is just incredible, views from hotel’s terraces are magnificent, you can watch air ballons in the morning, breakfast is very nice. A cave room is very beautiful.
