The family villa is a brand new building, purpose built for the western owners and their families to enjoy for themselves when staying in Thailand, and also for holiday lettings to groups of travellers and family holiday makers looking for that authentic Thai paradise island experience, but with a little bit of home comfort. Spotlessly clean, light and airy, this is a remarkably rare 4 double bedroom property, found on this beautiful Thai island. One of only a handful of large privately owned self catering family / group holiday homes of this type anywhere on Koh Kood. With 4 double air conditioned bedrooms, the beds are all of king size or ample proportioned twins, there are 2 bathrooms, a living reception area and a fully functioning kitchen. There is a large terrace complete with patio and dining furniture, overlooking it's own gardens, pefect for sunbathing and reading during the day and conversation, drinks and seafood around the BBQ as the sun sets over the rubber trees in the evening. You will NEVER share the villa with any strangers. You booking secures the whole villa to yourself, you just need to tell us how many people and how many bedrooms you require.
As western tourists we explored Thailand extensively, and when we visited the beautiful island of Koh Kood and instantly fell in love with it. This island stands out from some of the better known and more commercial islands of Thailand because of it's natural unspoilt beauty and genuine Thai culture. From the miles of unspoilt palm beaches and inviting blue seas within the saftey of the Gulf Of Thailand, to the genuine and friendly Thai people going about their daily life this really is an experience like no other. So when we were lucky enough to have an opportunity to put down roots here for ourselves, our families and now yours, there was no decision to make....the rest as they say is history. Our perfect stay includes wandering down to the village for coffee and breakfast, plus a spot of haggling with the fishermen for seafood as they return from a nightshift. Then a ride to some of our favourite beauty spots, stopping off at the fruit stalls for the ripest mangos and maybe a banana lassie at Aussie Dick's hilltop view café. Canadian Bob's can't be missed for a Thai massage, before a quick hop back to the villa to fire up the BBQ on the terrace in time for sunset.
The neighbourhood is centred around a small fishing village with beautiful blue seas and sandy beaches that are the backdrop to several small hotels, spa's, some basic coffee and convenince stores and the homes of those Thais living and working here. It's here where your thrilling 30 minute speedboat ride from the mainland will drop you off and pick you back up again. Our villa caretaker will be there to meet you on arrival. The villa is set in it's own huge gardens on the edge of this village, along a quiet road around a 5 minute walk / 1 minute moped ride away. The walk will take you past a couple more holiday resorts offering delicious food and drinks all day, a dive center for the prized Koh Kood scuba, and another restuarant / bar at the entrance to our garden. Nestled within our garden is a 2nd villa that houses our onsite English speaking Thai caretaker who is available 24/7 to make your stay the very best it can be. Wi-Fi is satellite and very unreliable in the villa so we recommend you procure data roaming cards once in Thailand very cheaply, which takes away any stresses of connectivity. There are also 'hot spots' everywhere you go on the island.
