Our accommodation (there are more than 40) is suitable for those who seek and love peace, unspoilt nature, intimacy, traditional Slovenian cuisine, local and boutique products and active holidays.

Become a master of Vineyard Cottage Škatlar, situated on vineyard hill near Novo mesto. Take a walk through the vineyards. Taste the wine in the cellar and enjoy the quiet nature and magnificent view on hills of Dolenjska. A very traditional, 170-year-old, stone-and-wooden cottage. The living area comprises a living room with a small kitchen, a stove with oven and 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, a fridge and a sink, a dining area for 4 people, a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a balcony. There are two more beds under a thatched roof in the attic, which is accessed by a lifting attic staircase. In the basement, there is a large Finnish sauna for relaxation (extra charge 25 EUR), a shower room, two sun loungers and a table. Outside there is a large table, a brick oven and barbecue, a hot tub (extra charge 60 EUR) and a sun lounger. Heating is possible with a fireplace or electric air conditioning. Free use of WI-FI. The host welcomes you and invites you to the cellar for a tasting. Guests receive a key to the cellar and can pour their own wine for an extra charge. You can also taste homemade bread, salami and cheese. Seasonal vegetables and fruit from the garden are also available. By prior arrangement, we can also organise a sound bath (gong, crystal bowls, various gadgets, etc. ), an Indian head massage, an acupressure massage on a special ergonomic chair, apitherapy, electric bicycle hire and vintage carriage rides through the wine region. It is also suitable for smaller groups, as there are 2 other cottages in the immediate vicinity (Škatlar 2 and Škatlar 3). The welcome of local delicacies on your arrival is included. Because we are aware of the importance of reducing carbon emissions, we have set up an electric charging station for your electric vehicles.
