The Slovenian Istria is not only the sea and the coast, but also the hinterland with its thousand surprises. Only 4 km from Izola and Portorož lies farm Medljan. Far from everyday hustle and bustle, you can take pleasure in listening to the sound of silence and of birds, watch the animals on the farm courtyard, walk through the vineyards or explore the land on a mountain bike. Autumn and spring represent the ideal part of the year for horse riding to the near or distant places of Slovenian Istria.

The Farmtourism Medljan is run by the family Kodarin, which moved from the city on the country side in the eighties. Marko takes care of the riding school, the cross country riding and guided bike tours in the Slovenian Istrian surroundings and has a lot of work on the farm. His wife Marina welcomes you with interesting information about the area and prepares for you typical Istria dishes, that the great-grandmother taught her to cook, served along typical local wines. The great-grandmother, who still bakes homemade bread, loves to chat with guests, while knitting in front of the house. The children Tilen and Urška and the grandmother Tatjana will be happy to present you all the animals, typical trees and plants at our farm and make for you along with all of us in our house a cosy atmosphere.
