For couples, solo travellers, or smaller groups, we suggest booking a room in our charming 'NEST ABOVE THE WINE CELLAR'. Curved steps can take you either down to our wine cellar or up to the quaint apartment. Within, you'll find three inviting rooms, two bathrooms, and a cozy kitchenette. Guests also have the option to book an individual room. The 'Nest above the wine cellar' features a rustic, timeless decor, providing a cozy haven within its thick walls—a perfect retreat to unwind after your adventures. Each room is furnished with a comfortable double bed featuring new mattresses and bedding, along with ample space for luggage, convenient hangers, and bedside sockets. Both bathrooms are equipped with a shower, toilet, washbasin, and hairdryer, with sets of towels provided for your convenience. Our cozy kitchen provides a perfect place to enjoy your breakfast, prepare a light lunch or have a snack before bed. Additionally, a wine fridge stocked with Herga wines awaits your enjoyment (when in Rome... or at a vineyard estate) – you pay for what you consume. ( For groups, we recommend booking our 'OLD LADY' (the other profile) - house featuring four spacious rooms, a large kitchen, a living room, dining space, and a terrace complete with a barbecue. ) Outside, a gorgeous view of our vineyard unfolds, inviting you to bask in peace and quiet. We are Lenart and Anja and we are seasoned wine experts and hobby wine tasters. :) Driven by a true joy for life, a passion for vineyards, and a hedonistic approach to collecting moments, both of us are committed to sharing our enthusiasm with you. Lenart went from playing professional basketball to studying bio-chemistry to becoming head sommelier in a restaurant with two Michelin stars. Anja went from traveling and living abroad to a career in an advertising agency & radio station to changing her focus to hospitality. We found common happiness in going on road trips, exploring interesting wine cellars, meeting various kinds and interesting people, savoring local cuisine and just enjoying the freedom of that day. As the head sommelier of a prestigious Slovenian restaurant with two Michelin stars until this April, his dedication to the craft is unmatched, and past guests would undoubtedly attest to that. A tasting session at the estate among the vineyards provides a great opportunity to open his book of wine knowledge in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Within a 30-minute drive radius, you'll find a plethora of interesting attractions, including several different thermal spas, golf courses, and historic sights to explore. We will happily offer you personalized recommendations for daily excursions in our region or across Slovenia, including hidden gems accessible by bicycle or e-bike.
