The Geodesic Dome „Poarta Retezat” is a natural construction, roundshaped in where the energetic flow is circular in a thorus direction, a very luminous space, created mostly from natural materials like wood and stone. Warm, as in the centre ( as an nucleus of an atom ) is the fireplace, that heats all the house. Fitted into the mountain scenery throw shape and colour. Our villa is decorated inside only from natural materials and wooden furniture, equipped with all you need for comfort, warmth, relaxation spaces, broad vision and intimacy.
We are a young family who have two kids (boys) and with a desire to grow them into harmony with nature, this is the reason of us moving out in an area with clean air as mountains provide and to live in natural roundshaped houses as our Dome was created! We align to the laws of nature and honour the live!
Our dome is situated in National Park Retezat, considered natural reserve and our houses are placed right on the ski slope. From the slope that is a starting point for hiking on the peak of mount Retezat, to Glaciar Lake Stevia and from here the whole Retezat Mountains for those that go in adventure with tents for more than one day. On the base of the resort Rausor you can find Citadel Colt from where Jules Verne got inspired in one of his works, Monastery Colt, and also the whole Hateg region with Dinosaurs Geopark, activities and parks for kids, house of vulcanoes and birds observation centre, Prislop Monastery, Roman Baths, lakes, forests, Dacian citadels as Sarmisegetuza Regia, etc. This Natural Resort also offers food from spontaneous flora, wild berries like blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, mushrooms and loads of medicinal plants for those interested in natural food and remedies. In winter time ski slope is fully functional with all services for sking and snowboarding for kids and adults as well.
