É um prazer cuidar dos jardins e da horta tanto como cuidar da apresentação do interior da casa, porque é perpetuar um espaço que é um memorial aos nossos antepassados que aqui, como nós, construíram o seu lar.
Esta área faz parte das nossas raízes. Junto a nós temos o Externato da Quinta de Sant`Ana, uma escola onde andámos nós e os nossos pais; um pouco mais acima a Furna do Cavalum, três grutas cuja lenda nos acompanha desde a infância; o Solar de S. Cristóvão, atualmente museu, e outrora casa senhorial, onde vivia "o menino Chiquinho", dono das terras onde a casa está implantada. Tem uma vista privilegiada sobre a cidade , mas abrange toda a freguesia, bastando para isso subir ao terraço da casa e rodar 360 graus, para entrar em comunhão com a serra e o mar.
