People say Panama is safe, but you gotta watch out for your belongings.
Criminality is high in Panama and you can't do anything about it.
Recommended to stay in a hotel, not Airbnb. It's way cheaper. Look for just one trusted taxi driver to drive you around, and do not trust everybody. You can get assaulted very easy in Panama.
The place is nice, some people are nice, their food is awesome, very nice Malls and the traffic is organized sometimes. They drive very responsible in Panama.

a city that never disappoints: Walkable, aesthetically beautiful notwithstanding the many modern buildings; so many aspects to this city: Culturally, environmentally, gastronomically: you need 4 days to really get the most out of it. And service attitudes are a little better than in the rest of the country (Panamanians have deplorable service - the South Am. immigrants actually are a breath of fresh air).

Staff was pleasant and all tried despite our overwhelming lack in the native language.
It was aalso so much more easier and affordable to travel to and fro hotel to store vs my visit to several US cities.
The taxi drivers are friendly and can be negotiated with despite the lanaguage barrier ....
We walked several evenings at varying hours post sunset...
The prices.....OMG....That is another story....Never ever seen anything like this in over 30 years of travel....Amazing....
Was amazed re the levels of development of the city.
Interesting and historic city especially the Panal Canal.

This is a great vacation destination. Thrilled with the high rise buildings, the cheap prices of food and clothing. A great enhancement will be to have more employees at business placed speak a standard level of English.

I live in Panama since 25 years, and I have business dealings in Panama City regularly. I prefer staying at the Riande Urban because of the location the friendliness of the personal and the cleanliness of the hotel/
The location is excellent, very central and easy to navigate. Metro stop, large grocery store and several nice bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The breakfast bar is amazing (the coffee definitely exceeding my expecations!), the gym and pool are really nice, and I loved that this was an apartment (with a full kitchen, laundry and comfy couch to relax) during my 10 long days of work in Panama City. Felt like the perfect mix of home + hotel!
We were catching an early morning ferry from the port to the Pearl Islands and this hotel is perfectly placed close to the port - it was a 20 minute stroll with our cases along a straight road. There are some restaurants and nightlife around, it is a place where locals from Panama City come to the fun fair nearby and to cycle. It's great for an overnight stay if you want to catch an early morning ferry.
The city is beautiful and the riu Hotel is amazing the people are friendly and wonderful the food not bad I am going to bring friends with me the next time coming to Panama city
