The Villetta/Matakana is not too big or too small. Bedroom 1 leads from the open plan living room with Bedroom 2 tucked in behind which can be shut off if a couple are in residence. Bedroom 2 offers its own private patio. Each room has its own style and privacy. The Villetta's bathroom has been fully renovated with every detail thoroughly thought through, including stunning tiles, under floor heating + heated towel rail with sensor lighting for your safety. Our Villetta is perfectly situated to capture the sun from morning to night - with the opportunity to find shade or sun whichever your preference at any time of the day and time of year We are surrounded by mature stunning trees with beautiful bird life which can be seen and heard in every part of the Villetta. The Villetta is offering an unique experience with no hotels in our area - we wanted to offer a memorable experience.

Having lived there a few times throughout our lives - we have now found our own little piece of Italy at the heart of Matakana NZ - hence our name - VILLETTA/MATAKANA We love meeting new and interesting people, and this adventure the "Villetta" is an extension of all things that we know and love. To share this magical spot with like minded people gives us so much joy and we welcome our guests to relax and have fun. We are literally moments from everything which makes us a perfect location. We are situated minutes from Tamahunga Reserve Walk - which is a DOC walk. There are kiwis living in the bush which is incredibly special. If you like the outdoors and enjoy walking, cycling etc this is a perfect spot for you to stay and explore what we have on offer. We back onto the fabulous/well known Tamahunga Reserve. The entrance to the walkway is only minutes away - we are excited to say that there a baby kiwi chicks amongst the bush. If you are lucky enough to see or hear them this is true treat or may even come across them if you decide to do the walk. Only moments away is the fabulous Sawmill Brewery - perfect spot for eating and experiencing their own homemade beer and local wines. We are minutes from the Matakana Country Club which is known for its wedding and concert venue + their artstudio and restaurants/ Only 5 minutes from the fabulous Matakana Village - Saturday Markets are always an attraction. Also the Matakana Boutique Movie theatre is a true treat and a wonderful experience with the Vintry available for a cocktail or a sit by the fire or a summers drink (depending on the season). Whatever the occasion we are fortunate enough for you to explore and discover. We are approx 10 minutes (drive) to Omaha Beach, one of the safest and beautiful beaches around with its white sand. Perfect for all generations and families etc. Only being approx 50 minutes from Auckland we are very central and easy to get to with the new motorway now open. Matakana is fast becoming one of the places to visit as we have so much to do and explore. Outdoor activities like surfing, or any water activities are available + walking and cycling tracks. Of course that spot of shopping or wine tasting is also available - the choices are endless and you certainly will not be bored.
