The Nurses Home was opened by the Minister of Labour in 1949 as a Nurses Home to house the matrons, nurses and domestic staff of the Reefton Hospital. In recent years it has been operated as a Guesthouse. This historic renovated building, has large picturesque and peaceful grounds with off-street parking, centrally heated accommodation with single, twin and queen rooms. Apartments are also available with there own private bathrooms. Bed linen, duvets and towels are supplied for all rooms. On the ground floor there is a large communal kitchen with a dining/lounge area. There are four large shared bathrooms, two one the ground floor and two on the first floor. A secure cycle storage lockup is also available. Guests enjoy free WiFi and complimentary tea and coffee. For mountain bikers there are a number of bike tracks located in the Reefton area. Reefton offers a perfect base for mountain bike riders to explore The Old Ghost Road from Lyell through the ranges to Seddonville on the West Coast.
