  • Is this property accessible by road?

    Hi there, no road access. You can transfer by boat, Beachcomber Cruises, or Cougar Line in Picton to our jetty or walk/bike the Queen Charlotte Track & down to us.

    Hi Gareth.There are two main options for transfers; Beachcomber Cruises & Cougar Line. Beachcomber is $109 per person return & Cougar is $110 p/p return. Both depart 9am & 1.30pm from Picton. Contact Tawa Cove Cabins for detailed info. Thanks. Pru

    Hi Leanne, yes we do have a mooring, suitable for vessels up to 12 metres. We only have the one though so just make contact prior to booking with your dates to make sure it hasn't already been booked. Thanks, Prue

    You will need to have a look at our web site for all info regarding meals & more. The descriptions on booking com are ai/bot generated by them & so does not allow us to enter detailed info.

Our cabins are located in close proximity to our waterfront home so whilst you have your privacy of a self-contained cabin, we are always available as your hosts for anything you may require. Accessible only by boat or walking/biking via the Queen Charlotte Track. We are approx. 4 hours from the start of the track, Ship Cove, making us the ideal first night stay. We are 10 minutes down off the Queen Charlotte Track. Boat transfers/water taxis are available from Picton to our jetty. Travel time by private boat is approx 40 mins from Picton. With no close neighbours, we offer the perfect place for relaxing & soaking up the serenity, having a drink by the waterside, or you may like to be more active & enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, or paddle boarding. All of which are available for your use. Whether it be an overnight stay while walking the track, a weekend getaway arriving by boat, or a group fishing trip for a week, we aim to make your time here happy & memorable.

NO ROAD ACCESS TO TAWA COVE CABINS - BOAT ONLY Our beachfront property is ideal for kayaking, snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding, fishing off the jetty & swimming. Location: Walking the QC Track; (heading Sth), Tawa Cove sign is a further 35 minutes walk from the Tawa Saddle picnic tables. It is then a 10 minutes walk down to Tawa Cove off track. Note; it is steep in places & there are quite a few steps at bottom into Tawa Cove Cabins. Ship Cove - 4 hours walking. approx Punga Cove - 4+hours walk. approx Furneaux Lodge - 1 hours walk along Queen Charlotte Track.
