Guests are warmly welcomed on arrival with a complimentary drink. When guests book the deluxe Tui Room they have the exclusive use of the double storey living area, - including 2 bathrooms - if no other guests have booked the Pukeko Room. Decor is very comfortable with a pleasant mixture of antique and contemporary furniture to create a beautiful ambience of luxury and tranquility.
As the host, I have travelled the world extensively and know what guests require to be pampered. This is mirrored in my two bedroom accommodation and also includes tips for sightseeing, restaurants, golfing venues, bird watching activities and west coast beach sport and leisure activities, suitability for all ages and interest levels of guest's requirements. There are also extensive varieties of vineyards within a 20 km radius of the accommodation. My hobbies include chess, bush walking and providing tours for guests, as well as playing golf, tennis and swimming.
Tastebuds Bed n Breakfast is located in a quiet zone of the village and within walking distance for beautiful strolls home after a lovely dinner at a local establishment. The local, native birds are in abundance - tui, pukeko, keruru, fantails - and you may also see the occasional possum, too. A local art gallery - Te Uru Contempory gallery - is located in the village, 1.6km from the accommodation. approximately 20 venues are available for food and drinks from 7am until 11pm. Iconic Lopdell House, built in 1930, is offered as a cinema, souvenir, art gallery and restaurant venue for guests. Its varied history will astound you.
