  • Hi - We're coming to the area to celebrate my sister in law's birthday on 21st May at Wallingford Estate. We found your place as a nearby option and were super excited, but when I came to book it today it was already booked. I just wanted to say it looks lovely and I wish we could have stayed.

Paratu Farm Cottage is located in a rural setting, a short 12km drive on a tar seal & gravel road (4km) from the rural town of Waipukurau. Refurbished in early 2018, Paratu Farm Cottage can offer you lovely beds and linen, wifi, farm walks for the more energetic, great views across the farm and friendly animals such as Goats, donkeys, sheep, lambs, ducks and chooks and of course the farm dogs that love to be petted when they come to the cottage for a visit. There is a log burner for the cooler nights with plenty of firewood on hand also.
Jo & Richard purchased Paratu Farm in 2016 and run it with their son, Mick, who is a jockey residing in Australia. Their other two children also help out when required. Paratu is a 340 hectare sheep and beef farm.
Central Hawkes Bay offers great hiking and cycling around the district, with the Ruahine and Kaweka Ranges an hours drive away. The Tukituki Cycle Trail is a short drive to the end of the road where the trail follows part of the Tukituki River where you can also do some fly fishing. There are numbers of spectacular beaches in the district, all under an hours drive to get to.
