Robert and I enjoy providing hospitality to visitors from all over the world. We have both been in the tourism industry for many years in various roles and we enjoy meeting people from other countries. We provide an authentic New Zealand welcome and hope you enjoy your stay.

Our property has a special place in the history of tourism and hospitality in Fiordland. Robert's ancestors were some of the first people to settle here in Manapouri and from early on realised that the region offered huge potential for visitors from all over the world. Fortunately for us their vision has endured and we are still able to host travellers in the same house as Robert's great grandfather did 130 years ago - making our accommodation unique in New Zealand as the oldest accommodation house that has been continuously run by the same family.

Manapouri is a small village with around 300 permanent residents. It is a lovely place to unwind and relax and is quiet with magnificent views. There are plenty of walks around the area. There is a small shop, petrol station, cafe and bookshop. The Lake to Lake Cycle trail is close by and bike hire is available in Te Anau, a 20 minute drive from Manapouri. Manapouri is the departure point for trips to Doubtful Sound.
