Our “Homestay” has two private rooms Mermaid Waterways & Mermaid Portside which are separate to the main house . Our Property is on the Canal front in the Whitianga Waterways. Your rooms are located just steps away from where you can view the picturesque canal. Generous size bedrooms with Comfortable Super King beds to ensure a restful nights sleep plus each room has its own Ensuite bathroom & mini fridge. You have your own separate entrance & all rooms are fully lockable and separate from the main house. We have a small kitchenette (without sink & cooking facilities ) for guests to use which comes with microwave, large fridge/freezer, Espresso machine, complimentary tea/coffee, cereals, fruit & spreads . Please Note: This area is Shared between all guests. Although we have no cooking facilities We have a Webber Barbecue for our guests to use. As guests of our property, you'll have access to all decking areas on the canal front, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind in a serene & tranquil setting. Please note: These areas are shared between Host & other guests that maybe staying. One of the unique features of this property is the 6 hole mini putt for your enjoyment providing hours of entertainment for guests of all ages. Additionally, there are two Kayaks with life jackets available for you to use to enjoy around the waterways. Please Note: Shared Kitchenette (No Sink or Cooking facilities) between All guests staying. Dishes are collected daily and returned . A barbecue is available to use by request, dishes are collected and returned. We have a 15.5 year old Spoodle Dog called Riley. Riley is an inside dog and has his own area on the other side of the house. He is very friendly and my constant shadow.

Whitianga is a popular tourist destination with favorite places to visit nearby Cafes,Restaurants a 5 min drive or visit our local Buffalo Beach or Simpsons Beach. Cathederal Cove, Boat trips, Fishing Trips, Diving trips, sailing trips, Hot Water Beach, Opito Bay, New Chums Beach, Cooks Beach, The Lost Springs Thermal Hot Pools, Mercury Bay Museum, Mini Golf, Mercury Bay winery, just to name a few. Whitianga also has its own Airport which is a 5 min drive away and we are happy to pick you up. You can catch a flight from Barrier airlines which operate from Auckland domestic airport and take a scenic 20 min flight to Whitianga. See their webpage for charges. There are tours also available from Go Kiwi Shuttles to different parts of the Coromandel. They also offer they also offer pick ups from Auckland Domestic & International terminals daily.
