Riversong is a special place to stay in parklike grounds on the banks of the Otere Stream, Onekaka, in the heart of Golden Bay. Retreat, relax, recharge and dream in nature, listening to the beautiful song of the river and native birds. Centrally located in Golden Bay, 2 kms from the Mussel Inn Bush Cafe Brewery, 3 kms from our local Onekaka Beach and 12 kms from Takaka township. RiverSong Housetruck is an original vintage 1953 Commer with a rustic well travelled charm. It has a special history where it was once a travelling stone carving studio known as the Gypsy Moth, before coming to rest in this tranquil place and transforming into a cozy cabin. RiverSong Caravan is a beautifully restored vintage retro caravan called the Glow Worm. You can see and hear the sound of the running river from the comfortable, cozy queen size beds in both rooms and Glow Worms can be seen shining across the river at night. Guests have access to a large grass area next to the stream which divides our property into 3 areas, plenty of room to explore the native bush and wild places across the river including the glow worm grotto at night. Shared kitchen / shower facility sustainably built using timber and stone resources from the land. Fridge / freezer, 4 burner gas hob, well equipped with cooking equipment. Tea, espresso & plunger coffee from local Golden Bay Roasters, milk, sugar and herbal tea made from herbs grown on the property. Composting toilet next to the vegetable garden, 50 metres from the kitchen / shower area. This lifestyle block has been self sufficient for 23 years, with large vegetable and herb gardens, chickens and a flock of black sheep. Lots of fruit trees, guests are welcome to pick when the fruit is ripe.

The famous Mussel Inn Bush Cafe Brewery is just 2kms along the road, with regular entertainment. Onekaka Beach a central point in beautiful Golden Bay is 3km away.
