I have traveled extensively and on any given day, depending on distance traveled, time restrictions, finances, weather, location or even my mood, I have no preconceived expectations as to how I spend my time at my accommodation.
As your host, I have taken this on board and tried to create a special space, providing the guest room with enough features for you to be as independent as possible, but through the door and down the hall, you can rest assured you would also be made feel most welcome and included in the day to day routine of our home, the choice is entirely yours.
Your home away from home, provides a King-size bed, TV, coffee/tea station, cane furniture to sit and relax, puzzles and books for the occasional wet day. A private courtyard garden, with various fruit trees sheltering the outside seating area, private entrance and car park.
A very short stroll to the beach and CBD for restaurants, supermarkets, tourist shops and experiences.
A short drive to the beautiful Hokitika gorge, tree top walk way, Zipline, Mahinapua boat trip, West Coast Wilderness Trail with bike hire, library, Ponamu carving, beach walks, glowworms, and the most spectacular sunsets.
New to the market, but be assured you will be made to feel welcome, and your stay will be relaxing and refreshing,
While this address is a new listing, I have been a host at two other locations, so am not new to the wants, needs and desires of a guest seeking a great holiday or home stay experience.
As a qualified chef, I also offer platters and a home cooked meal, for the weary traveller, should they feel like staying home, this comes at an additional cost.
Very safe, and walking distance to the glow-worms, beach, CBD, restaurants, supermarkets, hotels, liquor outlets, and local tourist attractions.
You can join part of the Wilderness Trail, within one kilometer of this address, it's a beautiful ride along the river, through Kaniere or heading towards Ross a gold mining township.
Hokitika is famous for its beautiful sunsets Many tourists meet on the beach by the Hokitika sign made from driftwood or at sunset point along Bruce Smith Drive to capture the best photographs.
If you are here in February and March, you might be lucky to experience the Wildfoods Festival a music and food event or the Driftwood and Sand event, where artist young and old create masterpieces out of items which can be collected off the beach.
We have an airport that has two flights daily from Christchurch and return, the airport is a short stroll from my address, I am available to collect passengers, if prior arrangements are made.
