Kia Ora! Welcome to Awa Tui, a staycation BnB located 10 minutes out of Waitohi (Picton) the Gateway to the South Island. We are the McKinstry's and this is our lovely batch that we have created for families to come and have a peaceful and tranquil stay. The beautiful Koromiko River runs along our property and surrounds us in wildlife such the wonderful tuis that share their song with us. This is how we came up with the name of Awa Tui! The river is safe to swim in however, children must be supervised at all times. If we have had a lot of rain the river may rise quickly so it's best to take precautions and ask us if you are unsure. Please enjoy the awa as much as we do! Michelle and Rob, the owners of the property, along with their two children Lily and Oscar just live next door and they have lived here for almost 12 years. We are a pet friendly space and if you require more information, don't hesitate to ask. Overall, we have created this space for a perfect family get-away where you can relax and feel right at home in beautiful Waitohi region. We look forward for you coming and staying at Awa Tui!
