Hi, my name is Edmundas. Yes, I´m not Norwegian but very much enjoy living here. Was born and raised in a small but great country - Lithuania. First time came to Norway in 2002 and got charmed by the wilderness and unique beauty of the arctic. Just like all travellers :) I love wildlife, nature, travel and sports and I find Tysfjord as an eldorado for this. Working in travel business gives me opportunity to implement my joy of meeting new people and sharing my passion with them.

Hotel is located by a highway E6, in idyllic surroundings on sea shore of Tysfjorden, facing Norway´s national mountain Stetind. Situated just 5km from ferry landing in Bognes, it is a perfect place for a pitstop before getaway to Lofoten islands or on your way further north. There are two types of accommodation available. We have 37 hotel rooms and 18 family cottages/bungalows. Major part of hotel rooms are with twin beds and are used both as single or double rooms. Couple rooms has double beds. There are 4 bigger rooms which could be used as triple rooms by adding extra bed. Cottages/bungalows are suited for 4 people(recommended for younger guests or families with children if 4 people staying). There are two single beds on the main floor and "semi bunkbed" in the loft. It also contains kitchenette, shower and toilet. Hotel is one floor building with every convenience. It has a big parking area, nice and cosy lobby with a fireplace, souvenirs shop, restaurant and bar, sauna, wi-fi available in all main building and free of charge. Grocery shop is next building. We are big enough to meet most demands - small enough to maintain personal contact and provide good service.

Tysfjord has a rich Lulesami culture with its center - Arran museum in Drag. Nobel´s prise winner Knut Hamsun was born in the neighbourhood and the famous Hamsunsenter museum is in a "hands" reach. A historical Lighthouse built on an islands in Tranøy is a must see object. The romantic white sand bays and beaches in Tysnes is the perfect place for relaxed and quiet day, or to enjoy the magic of the midnight sun. And don´t forget 9000 year old rock carvings in Leiknes. There are many different level hiking paths, some of them starting just outside the hotel. On site you can rent sea kayaks, fishing boat or "Laybags" for outdoor relax. Hotel also offers many other activities for any time of a year.
