Just 50 meters from the front door you will find some of the best cross-country skiing trails in Norway, leading all the way to Øyerfjellet; the entire trail network consists of no less than 300 groomed cross-country skiing kilometers, inviting you to shorter and longer ski tours. In addition, Sjujsøen offers kite surfing, dog and horse sledding, snow rafting and ski school. After a short walk you will reach a grocery store, a sports store and a café with a pub. The former (1994) Olympic city of Lillehammer is only a 30-minute drive away and offers a cozy pedestrian area with restaurants and shopping. Also visit Hunderfossen amusement park, Lysgårdsbakken ski jump, Maihaugen open-air museum and the Norwegian Road Museum. In the summertime Sjusjøen offers great trails for hiking and biking, fishing opportunities. In the house is a training card that all guests of the house can use at the Center Treningsvitenskap Sjusjøjen.
