At the very edge of Eidfjord next to the running river Veig you will find a little white house named “Mallabu”. This little white house was established in 1924 and is named after her late and last resident Margreta Elisabeth also known as Malla. Mallabu has been renovated in 2021 into a comfortable home. It is a lovely place where you can relax, retreat from the busy daily life and enjoy the wonderful nature. The house has 2 floors. On the ground floor you will find the livingroom with sleepingsofa, a fully equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom with toilet, shower, sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. On the 1st floor, you find a 1 master bedroom with a standard king size bed (150x200 cm), a small bathroom with toilet and sink and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. Obs! Mind your, head, the ceiling might be a little bit low for some people. Mallabu also has a nice terrace from where you can enjoy a magnificent mountain view and maybe even spot some deer. Good to know, you can park your car right in front of “Mallabu”. A frequently asked question from our guests is: what else can you do in Eidfjord next to relaxing? Well, here are some suggestions. Maybe you want to see Hardangerfjord from the water and go for a marvelous kayak tour with Best Adventures or perhaps you want to visit the impressive Viking exhibition, the Bergslien museum with beautiful paintings, Vøringsfossen waterfall which is Norways most famous waterfall. This is only a small selection of activities which you can enjoy. Eidfjord has many options to choose from. But let’s go back to ”Mallabu”.
