Nestled in the Lyngen Alps, in this beautiful & tranquil part of Northern Norway (approx. 1.5 hours from Tromso) are our beautiful cabins. Årøya View & The Distillery Cabins are situated at the Lyngen Resort overlooking Årøya Island and boasts unspoilt panoramic views of the Lyngen Alps and Fjord. This tranquil location is perfect for privately viewing the spectacular Northern Lights as both cabins faces north. It is an ideal base for both winter and summer activities including: skiing, dog sledding, hiking, observing wildlife. The Cabins: • The private cabin can accommodate 6 people: • 3 Bedrooms – 1 x Double, 1 x Twin and 1 x Single • 1 Sofa bed • All bedding and towels are provided • Full Kitchen including full oven, hob, dishwasher & fridge • Laundry Facilities including washing machine, tumble dryer, iron • Large windows with panoramic views of the mountains and fjord • Bathroom with bath or shower and underfloor heating • WIFI

In 2011 we planned a trip to see the Northern Lights and stayed in this stunning part of Northern Norway. We instantly fell in love with this spectacular, magical location and its people (we are now blessed to have many good friends here). It was during this time that we decided that we would like to spend more time here and we embarked on our journey to build our own cabin here in the Lyngen Alps. After 6 years we found this magnificent location and finally in February 2017 our dream became real and we finally opened the door to our cabin here at Årøybukt. We now have the honour of being able to share it with you and hope you enjoy your stay. We are based in the UK but have strong links with Norway and now you can experience this magnificent and peaceful location and we really hope you fall in love with this part of the world as much as we did. Aurora Spirit Distillery Nearby is the wonderful Aurora Spirit Distillery (the world’s most northerly whisky distillery) - here you can sample whisky, gin and aquavit which are all locally produced using glacial water. You can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful coffee shop or opt for additional activities such as a RIB boat tour, NATO base experience and private use of a Jacuzzi (additional costs). Dog Sledding We have good links with a local Dog Sledding Guide - Tommy Larsen from Team Lyngen. Tommy prides himself in providing intimate, unique and authentic dog sledding trips. Tommy has a team of 13 Alaskan Huskies (and one heinz 57, called Elsa) and provides an intimate and “real” Dog sledding adventure, this is in contrast to the larger corporate dog sledding organisations where you will be with up to 40 other people. Tommy is a local guide with good knowledge about the Lyngen Alps and is passionate about his “sport”. He speaks excellent English and his dogs are loved and well cared for. People are welcome to visit his kennel at Karnes, where they can meet the dogs before embarking on their Arctic adventure.
