Sweet dreams in our house with a UNESCO world heritage bunker right in your own private back yard. The whole area here is riddled with bunkers and forts build to keep the Netherlands safe in the 'New Dutch Waterline' project (around 1880). The museum about these defense works is just 3km away by bicycle. The whole area is very nice to walk or bike around in, with parks and quiet rural streets. Castle Heemstede is just 2km away. Although located in a very quiet and rural street, you will reach the city center of Utrecht in just 15 minutes, or Amsterdam central train station in just 30 minutes more. Centrally located in the middle of the country, this is a great place to stay and visit all the beautiful attractions The Netherlands has to offer. The beach (lake) is in walking distance and you can also enjoy the many bicycle routes around our area, or go golfing in one of the 4 18 hole golf courses nearby.
