ToBornottoB used to be Klein Fookma. Klein Fookma started in december 2020. Unfortunately we had a big fire on the 29-th of september 2022. The two appartments, the art studie and the biggest part of the farm got destroyed. Since july 2024 the new roof is been built, we're still very busy with rebuilding the inside of the big shed. Hopefully in 2025 the renovation of more appartments will be finished. I choose the name ToBornottoB because a big disaster makes you become more philosophical and guests have the choiche to have breakfast or stay here and organise your own breakfast. On the property there are different animals, like chickens, peacocks, ducks, cats, dogs, guinea fowls, bats and barn owls. My artbusiness Atelier Nunique, exists since march 2002. I make oilpaintings, ceramics, sculptures, artdesignments, wallpaintings, mosaics and offer workshops. Guests can combine their stay here with workshops like painting, mosaics, soapstone and seasonal workshops. Please contact me for more information.

Welcome at ToBornottoB! The wooden lodge is situated in the orchard and has a nice decking. Inside there's a mixture of new and recycled materials and a cozy woodburner. The kitchen is well equiped with a fridge, electric hob and a little oven. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds. The beds are allready made. Breakfast is available on demand and with extra costs. The garden has a trampoline, and a swing and rope in the old chestnut tree. The owner is an artist and offers various artworkshops.

Oosternijkerk is a little pretty village close bij the Waddensea. It's a good spot to watch the Dark skies, near Lauwersoog were's lots of watersports, closeby the ferries to Schiermonnikoog and Ameland, and only 5 km. away from Moddergat where you can go to walk along the Waddenzee and go for mudflat walking, go bird watching and enjoy the Wadden Sea World Heritage. The fortified city Dokkum is 10 km. away, a beautiful spot to walk around the Strongholds around the city and see the old windmills . Dokkum also offers lots of nice shops and restaurants and you can hire a canoe or sup on the canals that flow around and straight trough the city.
