In our organic garden you will find 2 tiny houses for guests: a Wikkelhuis and next to it an Iglucraft. Both with privacy and their own wellness: an electric sauna and a hottub, automatically heated with bio-fuel. GREEN & ORGANIC & DURABLE Bed & Wellness Klein Knorrestein is great pleasure for people who are not looking for a five-star hotel room, but want to get started with a fire, relax, read, hug animals, swim in the canal 10 minutes walk away, and do some slow cooking with beautiful ingredients, and enjoy nature and wellness. This is not a hotel, not a bungalowpark, not a camping ;-) It's TWO tiny houses in a large garden, where your hosts Joyce and her son Boet, live in their sustainable house, so you will meet other guests, and you will meet us ;-). OUR PLOT consists of a big greenhouse, our own house, two tiny guesthouses with both a sauna and hottub, a big organic garden and a meadow with pigs, goats and chickens. WIKKELHOUSE Spend the night in a logging cabin at the edge of the forest! Wrap yourself in the comfort of our Wikkelhouse, sustainably built of wood and ... cardboard! With a wood stove you can cook on with our dutch oven casserole (we also have an electric induction stove ;-), a private sustainably heated hot tub and sauna, picnic table and fire bowl and views of the animal pasture and forest. IGLUCRAFT Spend the night in this very private fairytale cottage with romantic bedstead, sauna and hottub. Wrap yourself in the coziness of this forest cottage, handmade according to centuries-old building traditions. A private garden with willow fence for complete privacy for your private sauna and hot tub, a picnic table and fire bowl make your getaway complete.

Joyce and her son Boet started eco Bed & Wellness Klein Knorrestein in 2020, after a physical and emotional heavy time for Joyce. She wanted to do something meaningful for other people, abandoned animals and the environment. After traveling the world working as a journalist and travelreporter, she switched to working as press officer for NGO's like Natuurmonumenten (Society for Preservation of Nature Monuments), Stichting AAP (dedicated to the welfare of exotic animals like primates, lions and tigers), to help make the world a bit more greener, more social and helping other people regaining freedom to move again (The Royal Dutch Guide Dog Foundation). We have a garden of 3500 m2, in which you wil find our 2 tiny wellness houses for guests, our own house, our greenhouse and our our animals. Our guest houses and our private home are extremely eco friendly, even our wellness is!

Oosterwold is a lush, green and sustainable, organic, urban farm district in development, with a climate-neutral way of life at the border of city Almere. Joyce and her son Boet were one of the very first inhabitants who dared to take the adventurous step. We didn't now if we would be able to build our own roads, our own vegetables, our own rainwater filtration system, and prepare our house to be off grid in the near future. 'Klein Knorrestein' is located on the edge of this very special residential area, Oosterwold, in a beautiful spot: next to the forest, where you can walk through the Kathedralenbos to the canal, where you can swim in summer and winter (for diehards). Go to Stadslandgoed De Kemphaan, with the AAP Foundation, the climbing forest and much more. For example, you can go on a beaver safari with the forest ranger! Or get all your delicious ingredients for your slow cooking at the organic market at De Kemphaan on Saturday. Oosterwold is a wonderful adventure. You will be amazed, it is a mix of separate new construction, villas, earth houses, straw construction, container houses, but also a triangular house or a round sphere to live in: in Oosterwold, it is possible.
