This homestay is closeby to the centre of town and still in quiet suroundings. Jordaan is just 10 minutes by tram or by bike. It has everything you need, very closeby. Supermarkets, ATM, coffeebars, restaurants, breakfast bars, sushibar, markets and of course a coffeeshop where they sell more than coffee ;) The room is located in an appartment on the groundfloor of a beautiful 'Amsterdam school style' building. Just one room, all privacy you need with of course a clean private bathroom. The extras you get is personal recommendations and support when you want. For example with public transport. The owner is living in the same building and is really willing to help you with making the most of your stay in Amsterdam! Besides all the beautiful tourist attractions it's really worthwhile to discover our lovely Westerpark, just around the corner. On the way you'll pass a beautiful windmill. Westerpark has plenty of nice bars and places to eat. In summertime it's great to have your own picknck or BBQ in the parc. I can accomodate up to three people. There's a double bed with two matrasses and an extra sofa that can be turned into a very comfortable bed. BE MY GUEST!
After I travelled a lot, I felt more at home in Amsterdam. The place where cultures come together. That's why I desided to move from the South of Holland to Amsterdam. I love the city! It's one of the most dense cities in the world if it comes to the variety of cultures and lovey to meet people from around the world. It makes people more open-minded, something I really can appreciate. Actually also the reason I started my Homestay. So far I met many very friendly and beautiful people. love it! I am 34 years old, work as a social worker in Amsterdam and I love to travel. I'm very interested in the Spanish language and I love to explore restaurants and bars of Amsterdam. I'm always willing to share my favorite spots, including the hidden gems!
I choose to live in this neighbourhood because it's so close to Westerpark. By my opinion the most beautiful parc in Amsterdam. Just love the green parrots that fly around and the bars and cultural activities, always something to do there! naturewise also very interesting, I even saw a kingfisher there! Then this neighbourhood is very multicultural and safe! So many supermarkets and bars inspired by other cultures. The bread and olives of our Turkish supermarket are not to be missed! Very nice bars and restaurants so closeby! And I can't forget to mention that we often go out by boat from here to Sloterplas or the citycentre... one of those moments I actual do feel rich! From here it's very easy to explore all parts of the city, a 15 minute bikeride brings you to Vondelpark
