The picturesque village of Visvliet is located on the border between Groningen/Friesland on the river Lauwers. Our backyard is the Wadden World Heritage. The Bed and Breakfast is located in the middle of the village, on the top floor of the living room shop Het Heirhuys. The two comfortable rooms have been restored in the old style with panel doors and elements from the past. Each bedroom has its own shower and toilet. The bedroom overlooks the main street of the village and the lounge area over the farmland and river. The kitchen is fully equipped and is shared with other guests. In front of the living room is a cozy terrace for a cup of coffee, pastry or a chat with our fellow villagers. Do you enjoy sports? We have sup and canoes for rent at the neighbors and bicycles, ATB and electric at the bicycle repair shop in Ezinge.
I have lived in many places but felt right at home in hospitable Visvliet. It is with great pleasure that I ensure that our guests have a pleasant and pleasant stay at B&B het Heirhuys. Just like I have been doing for 20 years in the Pelikaan house on Schiermonnikoog.
Visvliet is located on the border of Groningen and Friesland, in the Westerkwartier region on the river Lauwers. You can relax here and there is always someone willing to tell you something about the village. Canoes and sups can be rented in Visvliet, rental bicycles and ATBs come from Ezingen. We have already put the best places in Visvliet on the map for you. Peebos In the Westerkwartier there is a special path: the Barevoetenpad Opende. The name says it all: take off your shoes and socks and start walking! Walking barefoot through the mud, over water and grass. Climbing over tree trunks or via a rope across a ditch. Did it rain? Then there's extra mud! Along the way you can rest in one of the hammocks or on a bench. Do you dare too? In Niehove, the most beautiful village in the Netherlands, you can enjoy surprisingly tasty Indonesian food. For our cook, the natural taste of the products is the starting point. By making an appropriate choice from the many herbs, spices and other natural seasonings, delicious dishes are created, both vegetarian and with fish or meat.
