Company info

Carlos Callejas was born in Chinandega, the agricultural capital of Nicaragua. His family emigrated from Cuba in 1855. His father was a farmer (now he is exercising his lifelong passion as an artist) and his mother was an art broker. His house was a very social place growing up, with a wide variety of guests regularly. He decided to combine his passion for hospitality with his natural love of art in a boutique hotel that showcased local artists. ’There are a number of really talented artists here in Nicaragua. I love their work, so I support them and I proudly hang their work in the hotel. All of the pieces in the hotel are for sale, so we continuously have an evolving art program. Different pieces in some space can dramatically change the atmosphere of the room, so we get to appreciate the art everyday. After all, what good is a beautiful painting if it doesn’t have a wall to showcase it and people to appreciate it. Every room is different. We feel like we can offer a more authentic and original experience this way. The courtyard is surrounded by plants from Chinandega, because this is what I grew up with. We also have an herb garden which we use in our kitchen.

Being a family run local business, we provide a very comfortable, personal and professional environment for all of our guests. With shops and restaurants just moments away, it is an ideal location for the modern traveller. Be it business or personal, we offer a wide range of rooms to suit any requirements as well as a restaurant, room service, a conference room and a small business centre. We currently have 22 rooms including singles, doubles, suites and apartments.

Neighborhood info

Bolonia, is located near the center, a few meters from international bus station, shopping center, historic center, where you can walk. It is quiet and the street where the hotel is located is called Calle Los Pinos, commercial area where there are security companies across the street.
